Artist-in-Residence 2025-2026

Fatemeh Tajaddod

Fatemeh Tajaddod received her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Kentucky in 2025. Originally from Iran, she moved to the United States in 2021. She holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Art from the Tehran University of Art.
Her primary medium is clay, and her practice also extends to architecture, interior design, installation, and public art. Fatemeh brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every project, with a deep appreciation for materials, storytelling, and community engagement.
She is passionate about creating work that is both meaningful and accessible, exploring the intersection of functional objects, cultural heritage, and contemporary art.

Meredith Coffey

Meredith Coffey is an artist and educator currently working and living in Lexington, KY. Her artwork focuses on slow fashion, material waste and keeping objects out of our landfills. She mostly takes pieces of trash and embellishes them in a way to make them valuable, one of a kind objects. Her work includes irony, religious iconography and wearable activist pieces.


 Meredith is a Graduate from the University of Kentucky with degrees in Art History and Art Studio. She has been involved in Art Education for over 6 years, working in multiple public schools, nonprofits and afterschool programs. Meredith Coffey is currently an artist in residence at The Living Arts & Science Center and in June she will host a solo exhibition.
