When school is out, fun is in at the LASC. Students pre-school to high-school enjoy classes that spark their imagination in a fun, inspiring environment with first-class instruction. Full day and half day schedules available with AM and PM extended hours for your convenience. Lunch period is included for full day students, BYOL (bring your own lunch). Free time provided outdoors when weather permits.

Refine a skill or learn something new. Teen and adult classes at the LASC offer immersive instruction in fine arts, ceramics, digital media, cooking and single day workshops on a wide range of topics.  Class schedules change regularly so check back often to see what’s new.

Discovery Saturday Friends & Family Workshops | See class list and register here
Discover something new at Discovery Saturdays. These workshops are designed to be enjoyed together with friends and family of all ages. The fourth Saturday of every month, a 90 minute AM and PM workshop will focus on topics such as comic drawing, trying you hand at the pottery wheel and much more. Workshops are led by our teaching artists or science educators and offer a great introduction to the LASC or a unique way entertain family and friends. Drop-ins welcome if space allows. Come early or stay late for a planetarium show and take in our art exhibits to complete the day.

These after-school classes at the LASC are designed for the student who is looking for semi-private instruction to build a portfolio of work. Students will have a desire to improve their visual arts skills in a creative environment. Classes are led by Patrick Smith, an actively exhibiting contemporary artist based in Lexington.

Look for our after school programs at a school near you. Many local elementary schools welcome our teachers into their schools for 6-week after school art sessions. Check our list of schools and registration times for fall, winter and spring sessions.

Private Lessons
Private or semi-private lessons can be arranged with our teaching artists. Contact the LASC with requests and questions about private lessons.

Summer Camps
Watch creativity grow with 10 week-long summer camps for kids pre-school to high-school. Lego robots in the morning and cooking from the garden in the afternoon! Students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an amazing variety of classes with full day and half day schedules available and AM and PM extended hours for your convenience. Lunch period is included for full day students, BYOL (bring your own lunch). Free time provided outdoors when weather permits.

Class schedules are released three times a year, check back often for our latest offerings. Pre-registration is required for all classes.
