Summer Camp Week 9: July 28th-August 1st
Morning Meditation (LASC Morning Care)
Grades: K-12th
Summer Camp Week 9, July 28th-August 1st | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)
Need to drop off early? No problem, begin the day by joining our morning meditation starting at 8am. Students can enjoy activities such as yoga, stretching, getting your body moving and more all while under the stars in our planetarium. LASC staff will guide students to their classrooms at 8:45am.
Dino Dig
Grades: Pre-K (Ages 3-5)
Teacher: TBD | July 28th-August 1st, 9:00am - 12:00 pm | $200 ($175 Members)
Grades: Pre-K (ages 3-5) (Must be bathroom independent)
Join us for a week straight from the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. Students will learn about different kinds of dinosaurs, and learn about animals that we can see today that came from dinosaurs. Students will participate in dinosaur digs, hatching dinosaur eggs, examining fossils, and will be able to open and take home their own geode.
This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide one peanut-free snack, and a personal water bottle for their child.
Outdoor Wilderness & Wellness
Grades: K-2nd
Teacher: Gaby Hoss | July 28th-August 1st, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

Join LASC for an exciting and rejuvenating adventure into the wild! In this camp, kids will learn the importance of outdoor wellness and how to connect with nature to boost their mind, body, and spirit. Campers will discover how spending time in the wilderness can reduce stress and improve mental health. Students will also explore basic wilderness skills such as a shelter building, knot tying, and navigating a compass. This class fosters teamwork, builds confidence, and nurtures a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Get ready for a week of exploration, adventure, and wellness!

On the Road Again
Grades: 3rd-5th

Grab your bags, it’s road trip time! Embark on a creative journey across the United States in this hands-on crafting class! Each day, we’ll explore a different state through art and crafts that capture its unique history, culture, and natural beauty. Students will engage with a variety of materials and art techniques including: painting, sculpting, paper crafts and much more!
This class will meet in person at the Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
Paint a Mural
Grades: 6th-8th
Teacher: Stevie Moore & Lennon Michalski | July 28th-August 1st, 9:00am - 4:00pm | $350 ($325 Members)

Let’s paint a mural! Students will be led by artists Stevie Moore and Lennon Michalski. Both Stevie and Lennon have been teaching at LASC for over 20 years and are super excited to lead this class in a large mural painting experience. Students will get the chance to learn the insides and out of what goes into creating a mural. This class will have a rare opportunity to create a large mural inside of the LASC’s Marksberry Discovery Exhibit in preparation for the 2025-2026 exhibit. You don’t want to miss being a part of this unique class.

Jewelry: Crafting Wearable Art
Ages: 18+
Teacher: Alyssa Givens | July 28th-August 1st, 9:00am - 12:00pm | $215 ($190 Members)
Ages 18+
In this hands-on class, you'll explore the world of ceramics through the creation of unique, handcrafted jewelry pieces. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience with clay, this course will guide you step-by-step in designing and crafting your own wearable art. You’ll learn various techniques such as hand-building, molding, and glazing to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Along the way, you'll discover how to combine texture, color, and form to make your designs truly personal.

Learning Lounge (Aftercare)
Grades: K-12th
Summer Camp Week 9, July 28th-August 1st | K - 12th Grade | $50 ($45 Members)
Join LASC for the aftercare Learning Lounge. Students can enjoy supervised crafts, games, activities and recreation time after class. Students must be picked up by 5:30pm.
